How To: Make Fringe

There will be times when you will want to add FRINGE to your work.  Scarves, blankets, shawls, etc., sometimes look better with FRINGE added.  

Here's a simple way to make FRINGE:

Step 1

Cut a piece of cardboard a little longer than the length of FRINGE you want.

Step 2

Wind yarn around cardboard.

Step 3

Cut through one end. 

Step 4

Tie a length of yarn through center.

Step 5

 Fold in half and fluff.

Step 6

Tie another piece of yarn around the tassel about ½ inch down.

Step 7

Pull the top yarn through the end of the scarf with a crochet hook.
