When turning a heel and instructions say to k20, k2tog, k1 (for example) - they never say WHY k20. I would like to know WHY, can anyone tell me? I don't know about anyone else but due to yarn and sizing... I never have the number of sts called for in the pattern and it's difficult to adjust heel turning when you don't know the why. Can anyone help?
